The show was great! Steve Poltz got a nice reception and people were great for him. A lot of times people seem to be pretty rude to the opening acts, but they all showed him a lot of respect and he was very entertaining. Jewel was very open with the audience and in a general good mood when the show started. She was being very catty with the setup guy (Walter) because her guitar cables were a bit tangled and in front of the mic and made a joke about it being life or death with the shoes she was wearing (as in she could fall easily). The girl behind me shouted to show them, so she was like "all right for all the ladies in the house, here ya go. These are my hour and a half shoes. That's how I know when the show is over, I can't stand anymore." For requests, she had several shouted. Couldn't remember a few of them. Had her song book to reference, but still didn't get to play some of them. My first request was If My Heart Were Made of Gold. She asked If My Heart Were Made of what? I told her gold and she was like I don't know that one. :( After doing her own thing for a bit, she paused after singing break me and got some water, so I shouted Carnivore and she immediately went into the song. I was excited :)
For the encore, she brought out Steve to sing a song, asked what he felt like doing and he said I Thought I Saw You Last Night.

She played a lot less at the Hippodrome when you look at the setlist Kyle posted. Maybe that's because it was a charity event but unfortunate for those that went to it that they couldn't get more time with her. Better than nothing I suppose.

Each show looks great though. I really love 'I thought I saw you last night'. I think I mentioned previously that Silver Lining was my favourite Jewel/Steve collaboration but I forgot about that song as that is in fact, my fave Jewel/Steve collaboration.

Pity you didn't get pix or sound but hey...you were there and she sang your request so that is all that counts!!!

She started strumming down so long and just before she would've started singing, she stopped and said Nah, I don't feel like that one tonight.

It was absolutly awsome.
