You may be pleased to know that we have purchased ad removal for the boards.

u know lately is the first i noticed the ads....lol
if anyone cares...my site now has an ad - but i consider it not bad since it's a link to my sister's online store - why not help a sibling? besides, not like anyone's going to notice it @ the bottom of the page...lol
You capitalist dog. ;) :P

It has to be renewed. The payment is only good for so many page views. I knew it was getting low but didn't realise the credits would go so quickly. Give me a min, I'll do it now.

It's ok, it's not a lot of money at all. About ?3 per month on our regular status checks. Beside, Dave and I will be taking turns. It would have been his turn this time but I can't stand the ads so I just went ahead and bought this months again.
Dave...you're the next time!

:clapjoy: great job thanks guys
I don't really mind the ads either, I was just happy when you decided that you didn't want them. It looks like a professional forum :) But if it's a problem with money we'll all like them for you

I agree with what others have said, the ads are no big deal. If you ever decide not to pay for them I can certainly live with them. I like having them gone, it's no big deal if they ever come back.
No worries. And thanks again.

Well I appreciate everyones kindness on this. There of course will be times where I just can't get to renew it ontime or just can't pay it but for as long as I can afford to, I will keep the forum ad-free.

Kiera,
I of course will help whenever you want me to, no problem.
I think its important that JKF members are aware that the Administrators have put a lot of time into running this successfull forum, and that as the site grows it is only fair that we should bring cost etc up.
For example:
I designed a website for a friend a few years ago, i didnt get paid a thing as i was doing it out of the kindness of my heart, however a few months later i started getting bills from the hosting company as well as every year a domain name bill. Ive not told him as to be honest, i was happy to add the site to my portfolio, but it did teach me a lesson.
Of course it would get silly if we started to make this forum a subscription service like some other (we cant mention) lol... The Offical Jewel Site la la la la
So, we will keep the ads off this site, we will update this site and keep administrating this site whenever we feel the need. We need to keep this forum a friendly and comfortable place for people to come, have fun, and always know that there thoughts and opinions are read by a lot of people.
ps, so who wants a printed JKF mug and t-shirt then lol ???

Ok, so we are removing the ads from the forum and putting them to our cups of tea and coffee? That could work! Hee hee.
