Fellow Kilcherians
Ever wonder what happened with Jewel's arrangment with Loreal ???
There never was much written about it in the press.
So... utilizing the ASPCJ's vast international resources
we present to this brand new forum...
The Complete Loreal Deal.
http://www.geocities.com/jewel_australia/JewelLoreal.htm
Easy... The Prez
.................................................. .............................
Hey, Kiera... I think you might wanna have a little word
to Princess Angel Eyes after reading the credits.
Surely the ASPCJ cops enough flak without any encouragment from Tracy.

i was wondering when you were going to come up with your next clever scheme..... wild imagination! :mooner:
Nice Page Prez. I especially like the footnotes. Kind of a sub-storyline. I like the line that looks like a forumula
Code = Amanda & Justin :P
Not unlike the forula found on the undies for sale Jewel's Trinket Websale page:
U & Me = Love
Some of the world's greatest scientific forumulas were first recorded on underwear. A little known fact is that Newton's First Law was first recorded on the front of Issac Newton's shorts and his second law was recorded on the back. As you know we now refer to certain functions as #1 and #2 thanks to Issac Newton. :mooner:
The Theory of Relativity e=mc squared was first written on the underwear of a Relative of Albert Einstein. :read:

wow...i didn't even know they sold jewel underwear.... i'm a guy, so not like i'd wear one - oh well, no use buying it, unless they made boxerbreifs, now that'd i'd buy :) except with YES U CAN stamped over it instead of u and me = love.

Oh, I don't know. You might end up liking women's underwear. ;) :P   :clapjoy:
Do you know that right now the sale on Jewel's website is great? If you buy 3 items you can get 65% off your order! I bought some stuff. As long as you buy at least 3 non-book/dvd/CD items you get a huge discount. Try it. You can get Autographed By The Bay DVD's for $10.50, Mousepads for $1.89, Spirit CD's for $5.24.
And Prez: Where's your large print signature promoting Kelly Rowland? You're behind the curve, dude. :P

Oh sure, you write the page and I get blamed for the hideous picture. ^_^?? :P
I'm certainly not copping the blame here. I'm just gonna tell it like it is...
A few days ago I emailed Angel Eyes... and I quote:
"Guess what, Princess? The ASPCJ's latest page is gonna be a rave review about
0304 my favorite Jewel album of all time."
To which Princess Tracy replied... and I quote:
"Umm Justin... a little bit of hate-mail given you a soft underbelly, eh?
Don't suppose you got the ballz to build a page around this pic?"
Angel Eyes had attached the hideous "Toothy Jewel" pic, which I had never seen
before in my entire intrepid life !!! :o
So... who're Kilcherians gonna believe? Either the ASPCJ (with its proven
impeccable 'Shrine to Jewel' credibility) or... the sneaky, underhanded, demonic Angel Eyes? :P
Easy... Saint Prez ;)
And yeah, Mike... have you noticed that all the great men throughout history
(there's not too many great women) were always riddiculed and brought down?
Yeah... they even laughed at Columbus before he invented the steam engine.
(I'm not too sure if he drew it on his underpants first though) ;)

Hey Georger... after a couple of drops of Southern Comfort (enhanced by
maybe a puff or two of Cambodian grass)... it became real to the ASPCJ too !!!

As hilarious as it was to read, the atrocious spelling removed all the fun out of it.
I guess you can't please everyone huh!

It's easy to use a spell checker... in fact MS Word
corrects mistakes automatically.
[edit] But I refuse to use it. [end edit]
I actually still attend special read/writing classes
and am told unless I "commit" myself I'll never learn how
to spell correctly.
So... I write what I think is correct [edit] with Notepad [end edit]...
then I correct the spellings as people point them out to me.
That way I tend to remember the words that I've misspelled.
So... simply tell me (publicly or privately) which words
are spelt incorrectly and I'll fix 'em.
Easy...

Justin, since when did you stop using Notepad to code? You're using MS Word? I'm shocked.
I ran this through MS Word myself and besides the chemical names I only found these: litres (L'Oreal often uses French spelling), "somethin" (Bottom Footnote), "This site will publish the results as soon as Warner make them available." (Should be "makes")
Let's not forget that I have only an American English dictionary loaded in my software. I know there are countries that use Colour instead of Color, Mechanized vs Mechanised, Centre vs Center, etc... In some circles they even use "Shakira Sux" instead of "Shakira Sucks".
Of course I hope you know I would never condemn any man for bad spelling until he's been convicted! B)

Hey Shakira can't help it if she's sexy. Personally I admire the fact that she speaks English so well. Her accent is very slight. I've never bought her albums, but I think she's talented. And what's wrong with fruit loops? They're round, they're sweet, they're fruity. They're the perfect breakfast food.
http://www.kelloggs.ca/whoweare/images/char_toucansam.gif
And Michael that "bitchy remark" I made about Skakira is an inside joke. (There's a person that spells it sux in certain situations that I cannot discuss in the forum.) I don't think Shakira Sux or Sucks at all. She's talented, pretty, and seems to be a nice person. I've got nothing bad to say about her.

Justin, since when did you stop using Notepad to code? You're using MS Word? I'm shocked.
Hey Mike...
(I just edited that previous post to clear up any misunderstanding.)
I use Notepad for everything. I NEVER use MS Word at all.
I was stressing that I refuse to use MS Word to disguise the fact
that I struggle with the English language.
I dropped out of school at 15 because my spelling was sh!t and
I got sick of teachers tearing up my assignments/projects because of it.
My parents pulled my youngest sister out of school at 13 because some teachers
were (as my mother said)... "better suited to intimidation than teaching."
We both now have the highest achievable college certificates available in NSW
for both Digital Media and Web Design.
College teachers essentially concerntrate more on the 'content' of your
assignments/projects than the 'spelling'.
We both choose to continue to attend special classes to improve our English.
Easy... Justin

Hey, the way I read it is that he actually likes it, but he just likes's to watch Shakira's shake. To each his own. I can take or leave Shakira. I've never bought a Shakira anything, but if she's on the TV I don't dislike her enough to get off the couch to fetch the remote.
By the way, I prefer to call it the "Humpty Dumpty Played at the Bay" DVD. I enjoyed Jewel's DVD a great deal. I especially liked the interview. I think it was all the cute facial expressions. It was like she got something in her eye just before the interview. A smirk and a squint is a winning combination in my view. ;) <_<

Yea, that's much more subtle than saying I've been demoted
from "American Hitchhiker" to "Decaying Corpse."? ;)
OK... let's get this straight.
After being invited to write for the ASPCJ, Mike (with astonishing enthusiasm)
knocked up five (yeah five) pages in less than a month. His 'Nostradamus'
article has never been out of the top 5 most visited pages.
I was so impressed that he was bestowed the honour of being included in the
official ASPCJ's official sig as: 'The ASPCJ's American Hitchhiker'.
Here... proof... LOOK... the ASPCJ's 'Thanks Page':
http://www.geocities.com/jewel_australia/index_Thanx.html
But immediately after receiving his prestigious accolade... the lazy :censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored:
stopped writing. Instead... all the ASPCJ got was a bunch of useless promises
and pitiful excuses.
So... he was demoted to: 'The ASPCJ's Useless Bystander'.
Still no more articles.
So... he was demoted again to: 'The ASPCJ's Decaying Corpse'.
Still no more articles.
So... he was demoted yet again to his current position of: 'Skeletal Remains'.
(which he is currently in denial over... as he's never responded to his latest demotion)
It's now been over a f***!ng year since the 'Nostradamus' page !!!
So, now Mike is to be publicly humiliated by being demoted (yet again) to:
'The ASPCJ's Distant Memory'. :o
And Michael... The ASPCJ's review of Jewel's Live DVD was POSITIVE.
http://geocities.com/jewel_australia/jeweldvd.htm
I was just sayin that the Shakira DVD was better still... and a whole hour longer. B)
And... where the hell is Shakira these days ??? :dunno:

Yea! That's what I'm talking about! That's why you're the prez. It's your great leadership skills. Ok. Now I'm really feeling the motivation coming back! :P
...But what did you think of my new photos. I spent almost three hours recovering data off my backup last night. Can't I get from "Decaying Corpse" to "Walking Zombie" for that effort? Come on. I'm begging. :o And check your PM's for a webpage that shows a prestigious award that Jewel won. I sent the link to you before I posted it anywhere. If that's not a contribution I don't know what is. :clapjoy:

And no... no promotion until the ASPCJ gets an article...
just be grateful that you've not been fired.
Umm... strange... there's nothing in my PM messages...
I'll check my email... maybe you sent the link there.
Hey guess what ??? After reading the Jewel DVD messages,
I typed 'Jewel DVD' into Google... and the ASPCJ's page is listed:
Seventh out of One and a Half Million !!!
Now Mike, tell me... how Intrepid is that ??? B)
http://geocities.com/jewel_australia/jeweldvd.htm
And I never even stacked the page for Google's spider !!!

hey angel eyes, i have the stand pic i think somewhat like what you're looking for...i got this directly from the....stand video - here
http://www.michaelsjewel.com/files/Jewel_Created_Videos/Stand1.jpg
i'm currently working on some jewel videos (150kbps rather than 38kbps) so they should be of high quality - hopefully my account don't bust...lol with that said, the jewel backgrounds 800x600 collection will probably be removed soon to save some space...so get them while they're still hot!

Thanks for the funny look photo Tracy. I'm a serious collector. I mean anybody can collect beautiful Jewel photos. I go for the rare bad photo that gets released. If only the tabloids would do a little more for Jewel's career. You know - stories about plastic surgery gone bad or better still celebrities carrying alien twins. ;)
Here's one I found this morning:

P.S. Just kidding about the tabloids. I've never bought a tabloid in my life. I read all the scandle I can handle at the ASPCJ for free!

well...that's the pink dress we're looking for...now where's the stand image? anyone know what software lets me capture images from a dvd...i got it to copy the dvd into an mpeg, but it only records the actual concert part of it *sigh i'll be providing snippets of the dvd on my site soon!
here's a few images of jewel sillyness you can add to your collection....
first image - impression of michael jackson gone crazy..lmao (http://www.freeweb.hu/jewelkilcher/hqimages/17jew1.jpg)
2nd image - being whaling never felt so good (http://www.freeweb.hu/jewelkilcher/hqimages/17jew2.jpg)
the first image is almost scary...is she imitating michael jackson after he found out he was a psycho? lol

Micheal, cant you simply capture the screen after a pause'?
Alternativly you can use something like power dvd software which has a click button for doing exactly what your trying to do.
hope this helps
dave.

Thanks for the pictures Mike. :D I was hoping they'd be of better quality, but I think they'll do. :) Now, just need the Stand one. :)
Hey Michael, not trying to be rude or anything, but would you mind just linking those two huge pictures? They're really big.

lol.....yah...i am getting those from KISS THE FLAME>....k....lol...i didn't know how big they were....but very nice quality aren't they? there...it's done!
Sorry Tracy, but I'm not sure how to make them better quality. If you recall the DVD hardly stays still on the images. In my software you have to type "P" any time the DVD is playing to capture images that get stacked in a directory as Img001, Img002, Img003... You have to be quick on the buttons to capture it at the right time. I used my laptop because my desktop has problems loading media. I don't know if it's possible to increase the resolution, but that's the size they came out of my software. I did crop the black borders off.
And Michael thanks for the giant images. Those of us with high speed connections have no problem with them. I think I spot a cavity in that second photo. ;) :P

GUILTY AS CHARGED!!!!!!!!!!!! ( and no...that's not a cigarrette silly!) :mooner:
in this case, see, we have evidence that jewel had a lollypop....while michael jackson is innocent until proven guilty...the guy's a psycho...just look @ his face transformation.....i mean..do u consider that flattering?

I'm not going to say anything about the deposed "King of Pop", but have you heard about the "King of The Cowboys"? Check this out: http://www.tymurray.com/ Retirement at 32. It's a good thing.
And I've seen the classic pair of photos of Jewel with the grape lollypop before. Apparently it was a "controversy" years ago when people said that was a cigarette until they saw the other photo. I bet it even had a chocolate center.

Oh, that's alright, these will do. :) I know how it is with capping things though, because I use a program called BSPlayer to cap videos. I don't know how it works with Power DVD or whatever you have, but with BSPlayer I can pause the video and then press "P" to grab the image and put it directly in a specific folder. I also just recently learned a new trick where I can pause the video, and when I press the right arrow key it goes forward one frame at a time. It's really nifty... and free. ;) It was really frustrating before I got it, because I'd play the video in real player or window's media, pause it, hit the "print screen" button, and paste the image in paint or my other image program (The GIMP (http://www.gimp.org)). Everytime I'd do that though, the video part would come up just completely black and when I scrolled over, the video part would just stay where it was while the rest would scroll like it should. It was very irritating. After a little while, I looked at some help forums at various places and one person finally suggested to someone else that they should get BSPlayer. Of course, I downloaded it and immediately loved it. :)
Alright, I definitely have to learn to stop rambling so much :silly:

You can clown around about people you like and still like them. If I ever thought Jewel would seriously be offended by anything I've written I would sincerely tell her I was sorry. I love Jewel's music and hope she keeps at it for years, but I still like to have fun with some of the stuff she has done. I own all her CD's and DVD's and will continue to buy them, but I still like to pick on her a little.
And as far as photos go I just love funny poses and faces especially of beautiful people.

Well I wouldn't worry about her being offended, we all know she has a really bawdy sense of humor.

I've heard that and I suspect it is true. I really don't worry about Jewel, but I do sometimes wonder about those who just don't get it. You can implant boobs the size of volkwagons. Sadly there is no surgery to increase the size of someone's sense of humor, although I've heard Viagra works for some men.
And that animated "I've got to pee" is another classic for the Jewel art gallery. Keep up the good work.
This whole thread reminds me of this story I found on The Anecdotage Website (http://www.anecdotage.com//) :
Jewel was all too familiar with the drawbacks of fame. On one occasion, she was recognized on her way into a stall in a public restroom. "Oh my God," exclaimed her ecstatic neighbor. "I'm going to hear Jewel pee!" :P

G__ DA__ it Son of a B_t__!
I just realized something that would make that animated thing funnier and I don't have the pieces saved. I should have a little caption on the bottom that says... "where will you be when your diarrhea comes back?"
C'mon that would have been soo much better, I'll get to work on it.
If there was any doubt, this thread has certainly gone down the toilet now. ;)

Maybe Jewel would be good as an Imodium spokesperson.
This could be really good marketing.

Yeah, Michael, the very same. And yeah, it's the same sig as I put in my MSN screen-name... I also have the Shawn Colvin avatar, and the Fiona Apple lyric as a user-name... in conclusion, this forum complexion of mine is very un-Jewel-ish.
