The movie Jewel is producing along with Goldie Hawn "Wave (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0379003/)" is currently being filmed in Canada according to IMDB, due to be released in 2007. Jewel is also acting it.

Apparently, on the IMDB message boards, a member there said that the cafeteria in his college was closed as Jewel was filming there for the movie in 2003 but more filming has been reported in recent months.

I have been trying to find the thread in the IMDB message board that says this information but their message board is very poor so it's a bit time consuming.

Thanks to Fjjordao from the EDA list for spotting this and sharing with everyone!

Doh! The link was right in front of me.

Here is one link (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0379003/board/nest/3853525)

Here's another (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0379003/board/nest/22593683)

They are filming in Montreal, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Tantallon. They were also filming in a Church.
It seems most of the filming was done in July

Cool, I didn't realise that was you. Well thanks for that!! Looks like some of the info is a bit old there but it's great to know there's some recent activity. Wouldn't have known if you hadn't shared this info so, much appreciated.

It's called Ride With The Devil.

It's not a bad movie so you should watch it. Jewel is very sweet in it.

I think the movie is actually really good. I saw it in a theater with my girlfriend and we both enjoyed the movie a lot. I think Jewel is actually one of the best on screen. She certainly lights up the screen when she appears.

I never understood why the movie wasn't more successful than it was. It took in less than 1 million dollars total and It took 35 million to make. I really thought it was a good movie and it had some top name people in it and Ang Lee producted it so I never could figure out why it did so badly. Jewel was good in it.

It didn't do "badly" so to speak I think it was only a "limited" releaeas elike Ny and La kinda thing

No, it was a big flop, but I think in the end it paid itself off with the DVD release and TV screenings.

I actually just watched the movie. They've been playing it this month on Starz or Encore...I can't remember which, but it's been on quite a bit. I enjoyed it.

It probably would have done a lot better if it was made after Spiderman and Toby Mcguire becoming so famous and all...

Toby McGuire was also in Cider House Rules which opened one month after Ride with the Devil and it was very successful and made aprox 60 million at the box office. I think that Ride with the Devil just didn't catch on with people, I don't know if it was because it was a war movie or what, but I don't think that it would have mattered when it came out. I personally liked the movie very much, and remember Ang Lee had won an oscar not long before Ride with the Devil came out and there was a lot of hype about the movie but it just didn't connect. Also I remember an interview with Ang Lee about the movie and he felt that Jewel was the pulling power to make the movie a hit.
